Family Source
The FamilySource System comprises a network of 16 FamilySource Centers, which are one-stop community centers (FSC).
The FSCs are placed in high-need parts of the city. They offer a tangle of social, educational, job, and family support services aimed at helping low-income families become more self-sufficient by raising family income and academic success for both children and adults.
What you’ll need to use the services:
- You must provide proof that you live in the city of Los Angeles.
- Income documentation is required.
- Please contact the center in your area to discover more about the services, activities, and events it offers since they may vary significantly from center to center.
The Boyle Heights FamilySource Center is a “one-stop-shop” for families that provides free education and training programs for children, teens, and adults.
The center’s mission is to provide a continuum of services to help low-income families become financially, intellectually, and emotionally self-sufficient.
Over 2,000 consumers benefit from the critical services described below each year. We produce $500,000 in family income and help 300 children and teens achieve academic success each year via these essential programs.
We introduced the Family Source Partnership Program (FSPP) this year, where we co-locate a Pupil Services and Attendance (PSA) counselor from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) who works with families with children aged 5 to 17.
This program delivers services through a multi-agency partnership to enhance academic accomplishment, graduation for all kids, family system thriving, and community strengthening.
The Boyle Heights FamilySource Center is one of 17 FamilySource Centers located around Los Angeles that serve, help, and support individuals in their areas. Please visit the Housing+Community Investment Department for a comprehensive FamilySource suppliers (HCID) list.
